Standard Microsystems VFD Retrofit Case Study
Standard Microsystems Corp. completed a retrofit of eight variable frequency drives at its wafer fabrication facility, achieving $200,000 in annual energy savings with a payback period of just 1.6 months after utility rebates. The project, which reduced electricity consumption by nearly 1,750,000 kWh and demand by 200 kW, was installed by in-house staff working around the production schedule and utilized Yaskawa drives on multiple air handlers.
