MCS Switchboard Life Cycle Assessment
This document presents a life cycle assessment (LCA) of an average-sized MCS switchboard, analyzing environmental impacts from raw material production through manufacturing, use, and end-of-life disposal. The study uses the EPS method to quantify environmental load units (ELU), finding that energy losses during a 25-year operating life contribute the highest impact, while copper use dominates the manufacturing phase and recycling yields negative ELU values.
