Yaskawa Drive Stall Prevention for Overload Suppression Application Note
This application note explains how to configure Yaskawa drives to prevent nuisance overload faults (OL1 and OL2) by using stall prevention, a current-limiting feature that automatically adjusts output frequency to keep current below a programmable threshold. It is particularly useful for marginally sized systems, centrifugal loads like fans and pumps, and HVAC applications where unexpected load variations occur, allowing the system to continue operating with minimal speed reduction instead of faulting and shutting down.
