LT-9000 Series Confocal Surface Scanner Technical Description
This document explains the confocal principle used in the LT-9000 Series surface scanners, where a tuning fork vibrates the objective lens to detect the focal point by measuring peak received light intensity through a pinhole. It highlights advantages such as microscopic measurement with a small spot size (ø2 µm for LT-9011) and superior angular characteristics on glass and mirror surfaces (up to ±20°), outperforming traditional triangulation sensors.
