Mercedes-Benz Wörth Truck Plant Automated Top-Coat Spraying Line

This document describes how Mercedes-Benz implemented a fully automated top-coat spraying line at its Wörth truck plant, using ABB robots and water-based paints to reduce solvent emissions. The new line features eight IRB 5400 painting robots and four IRB 5300 door-openers, along with a cartridge-based FlexBell system for nearly loss-free color changes.
