MNS Temperature Monitoring System Description
This document describes ABB's MNS Temperature Monitoring System (TMS) for low-voltage switchgear, which uses infrared and contact sensors to continuously monitor critical electrical connections such as busbar joints, power contacts, and ACB terminations. The system integrates with ABB Ability™ Condition Monitoring for electrical systems (CMES) to analyze temperature data alongside actual load conditions, enabling early detection of potential faults, reducing maintenance costs, and improving operational safety and reliability.
