Yaskawa VFD HVAC Retrofit Case Study

This case study details a retrofit project at the Atlanta Financial Center, replacing existing across-the-line starters and inlet guide vane/discharge damper controls with Yaskawa variable frequency drives across three towers. The drives interface with the building automation system, driving NEMA 1 motors for air handlers and cooling towers ranging from 5hp to 40hp, with an estimated payback of less than 12 months.
