Yaskawa iQpump1000 Dual-Pump Irrigation Station Application Note
This document describes how Gicon Packaged Systems used Yaskawa iQpump1000 variable speed drives to create a dual-pump irrigation station for a Texas high school, automatically switching pressure setpoints from 50 PSI to 80 PSI for the football field based on flow rate sensing. The solution eliminated the need for additional control devices by leveraging network multiplexing between the drives, resulting in reduced energy consumption and successful irrigation across varying zones from 2 GPM drip to over 180 GPM sprinklers.
